Short-range and long-range WindScanners

WindScanner Facility Equipment Manufacturing plans shall contain detailed mechanical manufacturing plans for both short- and long-range WindScanners. Remote sensing devises for wind turbine integration (spinner lidar) and small blade telescopes (LIDICs) constitute the opto-mechanical designed hard ware components, that in collaboration with European wind lidar manufacturers (in particular Natural Power (UK) and Leosphere (F) and steering and control industrial partner Heason (UK) have led to the materialization of the already existing national WindScanner.dk facility. User rights to existing innovative remote sensing instruments shall be transferred to the new European facility as background IPR.

All participants’ existing remote sensing equipment, including continuous wave (CW) and pulsed wind lidars, ForWind mirror based scanners and WindScanner.dk short and long-range prototype equipment, shall be registered in a new PP WindScanner.eu depository data base. It shall include OEM and lidar collaboration manufacturer’s product specifications and log-books and experiences from previous use of the different equipment.
